Now, for a 9mm range/fun gun - don't think you can beat a P226 X-Five Entry or similar. It's a higher price point, but these 'Enhanced' German made guns should hold value pretty well for ya - and will put a BIG grin on your face at the range too...The SIG M11-A1-D is one fine firearm and fits in nicely with my other SIGs, P239 and P226. I added a Crimson Trace Laser grip and had trigger work completed. My gunsmith reduced the first pull to 7 lbs. to match my other SIGs. As of today, I have shot around 200 rounds with zero malfunctions.
