The felt recoil of that gun has more to do with the bolt slamming into the back of the buffer tube at high speed than it does with the actual projectile recoil impulse (especially in the 40 s&w model). I didn't really feel any difference in recoil, but the gun stayed on target better without much muzzle rise. The sub 2000 is still the most FUN gun I have to shoot.
