Turn the steering wheel to the RH stop position and open the fitting slowly. Let oil bleed out the line until no bubbles are present then tighten the fitting. SM-2039 from Deere is the right manual for your 4010 and the early 4020. I don't see any mechanism for the clutch to over center, but the manual says it latches. Its like the engine to transmission clutch, except that the lever pushes the plates together on the PTO clutch, there's no springs and the individual clutch levers are opposite acting..
