I think the 1UZ is a great choice too but it's only a bit easier than the LS swap. The LS has more power potential. It's smaller than the 1UZ too. The 1UZ just barely fits the IS300's engine bay. The exhaust manifolds are scarily close to the steering rack. I had to use SC430 exhaust manifolds so it would clear.The real benefit is at around 600$ a pop you can buy 5 5.3's for the price of one good ls1. The 4.8 truck motor (which uses the same heads and cam as the rest of them) can be had for even less.
