Hi All I have a 175XL that I have owned for about 5 years. I have had a lot of professional work done to it over the years and everything was working great this season so far until now. Then, last week, I started up the boat, got ready to leave the dock and I could not get the trim to go down at all.The pre Vortec 5.7 with 2 barrel carb were around 210 - 220 hp and 250 - 260 with 4 barrel. The Vortec 5.7 put out 250 - 260hp with a 2 barrel. Those Vortec heads flow real nice and allow higher compression without detonation.
